The New One Percent

The New One Percent

Congratulations.

You’ve acquired a  landslide fortune.

Global economy on the edge of crashing,

Big businesses hemorrhaging money,

Rumors | of recession hanging in the air.

Looming over our head like the viral bomb that crossed seas to get here.

Yet, as this epidemiological war rages on | “we”…

The beneficiaries.

Gaining access to what is now the world’s most valuable form of currency.

Time.

 Welcome.

Y o u a r e - The New One Percent.

-

In our ignorance,

We teach that everyone is equal.

Maybe all are deserving, but the deepest parts of us know

The pure form of e q u a l i t y - we like to preach,

It’s more like a punch line to a joke.

Everyone didn’t receive a key to this safety deposit box.

While they’re out there trying to solve this

Use your privilege, and less about  your “rich people probs.”

-

Never in history has it happened so swiftly-

The paupers became the privileged.

From rags to riches…

Do you realize that’s what’s taken place?

For your sake, I hope you leverage the sand

That now sits at the top of your hourglass.

Gravity will have its way.

And when that last grain falls

It will be like the past, and

Time will be taken back.

-

Didn’t we ask for this?

More__

Time?

-

As the world screeched to a halt

Understandable, was the initial panic that came from our minds and bodies-

They simply followed the law of inertia.

But— nothing you ask for, comes packaged the way you’d like.

Beggars can’t be chooser…

We’ve reached a pivotal point.

Flip the script in your mind.

Maybe this will teach us the power of collective thoughts.

-

So, what are we going to do with our new found fortune?

Don’t bury your talents  in the ground.

The master will expect a return on his gift, and this gifts life expectancy-

Is dwindling down.

-

Turn off the external noise |

Begin to settle in |

Pressures of your circumstances

Media

Mindless distractions…

Will have you thinking this isn’t what it is.

-

We all loved saying “there’s not enough time

Using the phrase like a pacifier.

A substitute, for our excuses.

But-

Time stopped.

Soon, it will start again.

Spend wisely, New One Percent.
